Our Programs

We dedicate ourselves to helping families and children every day. Please don’t hesitate to call us or apply for assistance using the Child in Crisis application packet.  If one of the following programs does not seem a perfect fit, call us at (360) 577-1771.

Child in Crisis Fund

This program funds medical-related expenses for children that exceed the coverage of standard insurance during a medical tragedy. CCR eases this burden for families by assisting with funds to address such needs as:
•Prescriptions and Prosthetics
•Equipment and Rehabilitation
•Emergency Transportation
•Travel to distant Medical Facilities
•Meals and Motel Expenses

Most children are covered by insurance, but when medical tragedy strikes, insurance frequently does not cover all the expenses of travel and special

Love & Logic

Dedicated to improving parent’s skill in managing a child’s behavior. Call us at (360) 577-1771 to inquire about classes.

Healthy Baby Home Visit

This Children’s Community Resources program provides a hospital visit to new mothers, and a follow up home visit to identify the needs of the new mother and her newborn, and assess the safety of the home. The family is connected with a pediatrician for ongoing care, and community agencies for classes, services, and support. Mothers and newborns with highest risk factors and needs are provided with early intervention services from Parents Place and Progress Center.

Community collaboration of Medical Home and agency services supports newborns, their mothers, and families in obtaining good health and appropriate development. This program is part of the statewide effort to ensure that every child is healthy and ready to learn when they enter kindergarten.

Child Psychiatry Telemedicine

Child psychiatrists use two way television from their Seattle offices to interview children and advise their parents who are watching in our local pediatric offices.

School Medical Fund

Children’s Community Resources has established funds in each school district, preschools and other service agencies in Cowlitz and Wahkiakum Counties to meet acute medical needs.

School nurses use these funds to help children without money or insurance to obtain care from a doctor or dentist or to buy prescriptions.
